Every Friday night, the Fayetteville–Manlius gridiron is a chaotic swirl of helmets clanking, parents screaming, and high school coaches hoping that the long, hot days of practice pay off. The clock starts, the whistle blows, and the Hornets set up to leave everything they have on the field — 10 yards at a time.
