Living In Color

For more than 30 years, Lorraine Austin, owner and glassblower at Snake-Oil Glassworks, has combined glass pieces into works of art. But in 2015, when she came out as transgender, she lost her marriage and her business partner — and she gained a cause. Now, with passion and fortitude, she shapes and molds rainbow pumpkins, proceeds from which she donates to the National Center for Transgender Equality.
