With bottles of soap, a suitcase of wands and wearing thick round glasses, Doug Rougeux shows up to work as “The Bubble Man.” Even though the Syracuse-based showman has spent 25 years dedicated to his career, he struggles to earn respect as a performance artist. Having started as a traveling circus clown years ago, Rougeux works hard to stay new and relevant, making his soapy career worth it.
