In a small, one-man shed just big enough for a 74-year-old Army Veteran and his two dogs, self-taught glass blower Don Burke molds keepsakes that embody the essence of fathers, mothers, siblings, and even pets. After experimenting for more than six months, refining the process of incorporating cremated ashes into blown glass — he meticulously crafts pendants, jewels and paper weights to memorialize a family’s loss.
